Top 3 Tips For Buying Office Furniture
by: Roger Wembley
The topic of office furniture is about as exciting as watching the grass grow to some people. Generally, these people see buying office furniture as a necessary evil which requires them to search through the numerous offering of different manufacturers to finally find that perfect piece that they?ve been looking for. While the topic of office chairs and other office furniture items might seem a little dull to the new shopper, there are plenty of ways to make it exciting. Yes. Exciting!
1) Let?s start with Ebay. Guess what? Ebay is one of the largest (if not the largest) shopping experiences in the world right now (and probably into the near future). Ebay has grown massively during the last and it currently the largest used car dealer on the planet. How does this relate to office furniture? Simple. Office furniture can be bought on Ebay. And cheaply. I regularly buy items for 50% off on Ebay. Maybe someone had a business that didn?t work out so well and now all their equipment is for sale on Ebay. Their loss is your gain. Why pay $800 for a new chair when you can buy one slightly used for $250? No brainer. Ebay is the way to go.
2) Don?t buy more than you actually need. Office furniture is quite versatile. Buying a slightly larger desk can take the place of two smaller ones if you know how to arrange it properly. In fact, buying one large used piece of office furniture might cost only ? as much as 2 small new pieces. The key is to buy the best bang for the buck.
3) Look into leasing or renting office furniture. Now this is one good tip- I?m sorry to say I can?t take credit for it myself. This is a fantastic way to keep your cash flow in your pocket while enjoying the benefits of a brand new office. New chairs, new desks, new everything: all for a very low up front price. The big thing to look out for here is to make sure that you are truly getting a good deal. To say there are conartists out there is a huge understatement. Read the fine print carefully and make sure that what you are paying is less than buying it outright. However, with a little bit of homework, it really isn?t that hard to get a good deal by renting or leasing. Check it out.

Outdoor Patio Furniture
Outdoor Patio Furniture

Deciding what to buy: Cost, Quantity, and Location
It?s time again to spruce up the outdoors. When purchasing patio furniture there are several important factors to consider that will determine the type and the cost of patio furniture you choose.
First, it is important to consider the cost. There are so many options to choose from, ranging from very cost effective, to very high end furniture. An important option to consider is buying bulk. If you have a large outdoor patio, buying in bulk will ensure across the board coordination of your patio set. You will always have extra seating for entertaining, without having to pull out the old mismatch patio chairs that get packed away in a shed.
Second, determine the size of the area you plan to furnish. Are you just looking for a small patio set, or do you want to furnish all 3 decks and the pool side area? Ordering in bulk, you can have a variety...

Contemporary Bedroom Furniture: Planning A Bed
Contemporary Bedroom Furniture: Planning A Bed
by: Joel Walsh
Don't let your bed be an afterthought. Your bed will be the most prominent object in your room, so it has to go with your bedroom's theme, color-wise, size-wise, and style-wise. A huge bed in a small room will likely look out of place, as would a four-post bed in a room with sleek modern furnishings.
Bed Sizes
The most popular bed sizes are king, queen, twin and the increasingly popular California king. A California king is narrow and long, rather than the traditional king bed's square shape. Just make sure you have the exact dimensions of your bed before you go mattress shopping, since bed manufacturers sometimes don't follow the standard bed sizes exactly.
Bed Styles
Don?t confuse bed sizes with bed styles. Bed styles refer to the headboard and footboard. The basis of any bed is still the mattress and frame, which only vary outwardly in terms of the sizes listed...

Let There Be Light in Your Bedroom!
Let There Be Light in Your Bedroom!
by: Parvati Markus
Winter Solstice is the shortest day of the year, and then the light slowly starts returning to the northern hemisphere. But that still means we have many months of the year when our bedrooms get very little or no light in the mornings, when we get up, and are dark long before we go to sleep. If you?re someone who gets blue without enough light in your life, try brightening up your bedroom by making it feel like summer!
Think summer. Light colors, light fabrics. Take down the dark, heavy drapes and let the windows bring in as much light as possible during the day. When evening approaches, pull down the blinds and close the sheer curtains, which will look delightful in the glow of your warm bedroom lighting. Use soft white or pink-tinted bulbs in your lamps, or the full spectrum bulbs that replicate natural sunlight. They can make a huge difference in how you feel!
One way to optimize...

Things To Consider While Designing A Guest Bedroom
Things To Consider While Designing A Guest Bedroom
by: Shrinivas Vaidya
A bedroom is a place where we relax. Depending upon the
age group normally bedrooms are categorized as master bedroom,
teen bedroom, child/kid bedroom.
But a home building may also have a provision for a guest bedroom
in it. If the architect of the building has taken enough care
while designing the building, a guest bedroom is located on the
ground floor.
I have seen home designs where a guest bedroom is deliberately
located on ground floor and used as a income source by
giving the room o rent. This is common practice in crowded cities.
Because of its location on ground floor it is easy to
give a separate access to the space without disturbing the privacy
of the entire house.
Ideally a guest bedroom should have a good natural lighting and
ventilation. A good view of the surroundings from the window is
also...
